Conventions Of The Music Video

The Key Conventions of my music video will be factors such as the time lapsing, camera angles and camera jump cuts, these features of the music video will be very significant in the music video because without them I believe that the music video will be very boring and tasteless.
The music video consists of some elements of the music video that are fast paced and some that are at a normal pace so it is mixed and creates more tension within the music video and without the extra ingredients of the time lapse, different camera angles and camera jumps the music video will be uninteresting.
Other Key Conventions of the music video are the scenes that the music video is filmed in, outside in a public street at rush hour, a quiet street and a bedroom, these scenes are equivalent in many other music video but I do not imagine most music video that are filmed outside has done the same type of nature as my music video.

Columbia Records

Columbia Records is an American record label founded in 1888, the American Graphophone Company, successor to the Volta Graphophone Company.

Columbia is the oldest surviving brand name in pre-recorded sound, being the first record company to produce pre-recorded records as opposed to blank cylinders. Columbia Records went on to release records by an array of notable singers, instrumentalists and groups. From 1961 to 1990, its recordings were released outside the U.S. and Canada on the CBS Records label before adopting the Columbia name in most of the world. Today it is a premiere subsidiary label of Sony Music Entertainment. Steve Barnett and Rick Rubin are the co-heads of Columbia Records.

Until 1989, Columbia Records had no connection to Columbia Pictures, which used various other names for record labels they owned, including Colpix, and later Arista. That label is now a sister label to Columbia Records through Sony Music; both are connected to Columbia Pictures through Sony Corporation of America, worldwide parent of both the music & motion picture arms of Sony.

Breakeven & Talk You Down

http://www.clikthrough.com/theater/video/1//en-US Music Video, The Script - Breakeven.

This music video is similar to my music video because it has most of the features that my music video will hopefully contain, e.g being filmed outside in a public surrounding, having some of the same camera movements and only focusing on two people throughout the whole music video.

http://www.clikthrough.com/theater/video/6 Music Video, The Script - Talk You Down.

This music video is also similar to my music video because of its fast paced jump cuts and speed of filming, it does also once again mainly focus on two people throughout the music video and tells a story like my music video, a man who has broken up with his girl friend and tries to find her so they can be backed together.

Talk You Down.
In this picture it shows us a man who has crashed his car and is flying out of the window but he flies out and meets the girl who he was trying to find.
This shows a very unique technique of media which i will not be able to perform because the level of media is too high for me to use in my music video.

Breakeven.
In this picture there is a man singing into the microphone in front of people singing the song Breakeven. This picture is more simple to create than the other picture because it does not acquire a high level of skills to create it. This camera angle and shot is also comparable to the type of shots that will be in my music video so the viewers can see the man and what is surrounding him.
